Hello Friendly Community,

I have decided that I am going to sell off my 2012 Audi A5 after three years of ownership. Thus, I get to decide what I want next! I am heavily interested in ~2011 BMW 535i with the manual trans. They range anywhere from $28,500 - $35,000 depending on mileage and options. I have never driven one with the manual, but is it safe to assume that I will love it? I am trying to find one with the M-Sport package, but they are quite the unicorn of the BMW world. Has anyone driven one of those with the manual? Also, what other schnazzy rides could I get in that same price range?

P.S. If you are interested in a 2012 Audi A5 with 38,000 miles for $31,000, please let me know. :)

You could land a 2007-2011 S550 for $25-35k

Buy an E46 M3 for $10-15k and give the rest of the money to me. Problems solved.

I can't believe that I didn't think of that already?! Who says that you never get any good advice on the internet?

What about a 335i and a Burger Tuner? E92 M3 levels of speed, while being relatively affordable.

You're thinking too practical.

The electric steering sucks. No feel or emotion. Unless you get xdrive you'll get the electric steering. That's early e90 m3 money, drive one and you'll never look at the f10 again. I cross shopped a 550i with my M (along with other cars), easiest choice I ever made between those two.

Here is the most Jalop thing you could do - just find one w/ lower miles (at least this one has a manual). This would be sort of a DeMuro, but the question would be where would you get it repaired? Your posts about it would be endless! And just 15 grand!

Not sure how the F10's manual compares to the E60's, but the E60s I've driven really weren't great. I honestly prefer the autos, and this coming from an exclusive manual driver for 20+ years.

I want something with some more modern amenities and the gas mileage SUCKS on RS4's.

But, 8,000 RPM V8 tho...

I would research about the Clutch Delay Valve on bimmers and see if the 335i has one, and if it has one find a way to remove it. That valve is pos. My 120i has one and it is very difficult to rev match correctly and make shifts quickly.

i can't imagine 8K on a v8, I drove the c5 Audi s6 with a 7K limit and that felt like a LOT

What about a Stick shift Passat CC? I know it wont be as good to drive as a 535i, but its sexy:

Ok, question is, do you want a new car or a used car?

If you want a new car, a nice 328i sport would do the job well! 240hp is enough to have fun with

Alternatively, you could look at a new WRX STI, or a GTI\GLI autobahn for a cheaper option
